With the finals inching closer, Sony Entertainment Television's India's Laughter Champion has contestants in full battle mode. The last semi-finals saw the likes of Vignesh Pande from Mumbai, Maharashtra and Radheshyam Bharti from Prayagraj fight for their spot in the Top 5 finalists and this week will have even tough competition for the comedians. Mumbai cha Mulga Nitesh Shetty would be impressing the judges Shekhar Suman and Archana Puran Singh with his hilarious stand-up about the restaurant and food culture, imitating delivery boys, food bloggers and people who stand in the waiting crowd outside restaurants.
Going gaga about his performance, Shekhar Suman showered praises on Nitesh saying, "Your observations are so minute and precise that after listening to you, people just start laughing. A lot of people observe but to get into the nitty-gritty of the practice is a different matter. You have observed life, people and their idiosyncrasies so closely and beautifully and you represent and replicate them so beautifully. So, I think when comics like you become a part of the semifinals, I can only imagine the level of the finals. It would be a tough task for both Archana and me to decide on the best among you all. It is difficult to pick among stars, among such great talent! Your sense of humor is class apart. You are so cool on stage! You are a dude; you are a cat!"
Archana Puran Singh also sang praises of the comic saying, "there is a sort of observation without which comedy is incomplete and the other is Nitesh Shetty's observation, so minute, so perfect. You go where no man has been before. Win or lose, it does not matter. You have made your mark not only on this stage but in the hearts of people. You are one of the best comic talents we have in the running. You are very special and delightful. Big salute to you!"
Tune into India's Laughter Champion, this weekend at 9:30 pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.
