&TV’s Aur Bhai Kya Chal Raha Hai? is becoming an audience’s favourite light-hearted show for its relatable characters and rib-tickling humour. It brings fresh and interesting twists to the tale that captures the long-standing Ganga-Jamuni Tehzeeb of Lucknow through the two families – the Mishras and the Mirzas, cohabiting in an old nawabi haweli. This time around, the show rewinds into the mid-18th century, the Mughals era showcasing a completely new avatar of its characters and, of course, the Nawabi Haweli! The show has presented hilarious and enjoyable tracks. Inspired by numerous iconic Bollywood movies, such as Mughal-E-Azam, Jodha Akbar, and Mangal Pandey, to name a few, the plot is bound to create Bollywood magic and entertain the audience like never before. The show leads Ambrish Bobby (Ramesh Prasad Mishra), Farhana Fatema (Shanti Mishra), Pawan Singh (Zafar Ali Mirza), and Akansha Sharma (Sakina Mirza) share details of its upcoming track with a Bollywood twist.

Ambrish Bobby, essaying Ramesh Prasad Mishra’s character, shares, “The track is one of my favourites because I enjoyed every aspect in it. Everything about it is phenomenal, from playing a different character, look, feel, dialogues, costumes and jewellery. I will be shown as Raja in the Mughal era. Hence my outfit will be royal with a gem-studded mukut. When I saw my complete look for the first time, I truly felt like a King! (laughs) Numerous historical films, such as Asoka and Jodha Akbar, inspire the royal look. Essaying Maharaja with a comic twist had its fun moments. I discovered a new side to me I had not anticipated. I am living my Bollywood dream. Thank you to the writers and directors for giving us this wonderful opportunity to explore the unexplored sides of our craft. It was quite an amazing experience, and I have thoroughly loved every bit of it.”

Farhana Fatema essaying Shanti Mishra’s character, shares, “I will be seen as a Maharani. My character Shanti usually wears sarees, but I am getting to wear a royal and embellished lehenga and choli with heavy jewellery, including a Maang teeka and a Nath. The look is inspired by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s character as Jodha Bai in Jodha Akbar. I always wanted to look like Jodha and have a picture clicked in it, and the show made it a reality! It is a dream come true for me! I could not have asked for more. I loved the look so much that I did not feel like coming out of it. I kept admiring myself in the mirror (laughs). It has been one of the most memorable moments of the shoot that I will cherish for a long time. Everyone around me was excited and enjoyed living the gone era through this plot. I am very excited and looking forward to my family, fans and viewers’ reactions. I am sure people will enjoy the track as much as we have enjoyed enacting it. I can guarantee that people will love this track as it is unique and full-on comical.”

Pawan Singh, essaying Zafar Ali Mirza’s character, shares, “When I started my journey in this industry, I had done something very similar to this character which makes this track even more special. I am super excited about this particular track as my look is inspired by the late legendary actor Dilip Kumar Ji’s character in the path-breaking movie Mughal-e-Azam. It consists of sherwani, chudidar, and nawabi headgear. It truly made me feel like a true-blue royal Nawab! And, of course, the body language automatically changes when one gets into such a role. Dilip Kumar Ji has been one of my favourite actors. It is a privilege to get an opportunity to essay a character loosely inspired by his iconic movie but with a comic twist to it. The most interesting part of this track is we are showing the history of Haveli. Interestingly, the Haveli, where we shoot, is a real Haveli built-in 1935 and situated in Lucknow. I am sure the audience will enjoy the track, which is comical and entertaining. Each character stands out and is quite entertaining.”

Akansha Sharma, essaying Sakina Mirza’s character, shares, “I believe I have got the most interesting character to play in this track. My look is inspired by Madhubala’s Anarkali look in Mughal-e-Azam, whereas my character traits are like Hema Malini as Basanti from Sholay. So, striking the right balance between both was challenging and equally exciting. I am a huge fan of these two legendary actresses, and they have always inspired me. I completely adored the Anarkali look, and everyone complimented me. I was in complete awe of it. It has been a great learning experience. I am thankful for the show that gives me much to explore and experience. I am sure the audience is going to have a good share of laughter seeing this track!”.
